FOOD FOR THE FOOTY WALKING TOUR

Food for the Footy is an official Associated Event for AFL Gather Round 2025. It is our showcase of South Australia's fun foods, designed to supply locally produced snacks for the big matches only AFL Gather Round can conjure. This one-hour walking tour takes you through Rundle Mall and surrounding arcades, visiting three iconic Adelaide food locations: Haigh's Chocolates, Balfours and Charlesworth Nuts.

Hear the stories behind iconic foods such as Fruchocs, chocolate frogs and frog cakes, while building up an appetite alongside a bag of goodies. Choose to eat some samples along the way or keep them for getting through those heart-stopping moments on the field. (Be sure to bring a shopping bag if you want to make extra purchases at our stops.)

Particularly suited for those with a sweet tooth, this adventure about Adelaide's food scene is told from a born-and-raised local's perspective. Adelaideans grow up eating these delights and each have a special place in our hearts and minds. We can't wait to share them with you!
